structural axonometry

We projected a civic center formed by an existing local government, a church and a public library in Hilversum, Netherlands. The library was made out of prisms of different sizes and forms. These pieces of concrete were connected by intersections to produce different spaces connected in between them.
A interesting space is a reading hall that takes up two floors. I created an open space in order to allow the view all over the space from a unique security position. One of important element is the light, because it is natural and diffused. To get this, I designed skylights and a system of blinds to control the light.
