CAMPUS
Atelier J. Frechilla
The semester was based on a CAMPUS for studies of architecture and technology, near Ciudad Universitaria of Madrid, Spain. This zone present a interesting road. It has two main directions untill it gets to the outskirts, where it changes into a new one. The concept is to mix both of them to create twirled forms.
The spot where the CAMPUS is in a slope. I used this fact to create two entrances at different levels. In the central space, there was a unique space with transparent and translucent elements. This allowed the public to see through the slabs and access other floors. In the façades, I used a facing that is fixed but separated in different distances in order to create dynamism with the light.
