This semester we projected a block of flats near of the train station Principe Pio in Madrid, Spain. The working zone is characterized by the change of level of the place. This quality allowed us to open views to outstanding places of Madrid.
I managed this beautiful spot with the purpose of designing a block which allowed these places to be admired. To achieve this, I created two open space floors, where you can only go into the flats or communication cores. The structure of the project is based on structural walls of concrete. In order to avoid direct sun light, the walls are longer in the flats that are looking straight to the sun. Every flat is formed by regular prisms of different heights to create variety on the elevation.
